            Andrew McIlroy

            Andrew McIlroy is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, in Montreal, and is one of Canada's and Vancouver's most highly respected acting instructors. He was the co-artistic director of the full-time program at the Gastown Actors Studio, in Vancouver, and is one of the most popular adjudicators requested by Theatre BC for festivals and workshops. He has taught as a faculty member at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Simon Fraser University and is currently an instructor at Vancouver Film School, Leap Studios, and Studio 3 Media. 

            Andrew is sought by producers, casting directors, and talent agents to personally coach lead characters in feature films and episodic television series. Andrew has worked with actors that can be seen in such projects as
            "Glee", "90210", "DEXTER", "Fairly Legal", "Flashpoint", "Melrose Place", "Supernatural" "The Vampire Diaries", "LOST", "Shark Night 3D", "Final Destination 2 & 3", "Battlestar Galactica", "Fringe", "Desperate Housewives", "Caprica", "I Love You Beth Cooper", "Smallville", "WEEDS",
            "War of the Worlds", "I Am Number Four", "Red Riding Hood" and "The Killing".

            As an actor, some of Andrews' include recurring & guest roles on "Health Nutz", "Psych", "Fringe", "Battlestar Galactica", "Smallville", "Supernatural", "The Chris Isaak Show", "Terminal City",

            "Blade: The Series", "The L Word" and "Out Of Order" just to name a few. 

            He recently played "David" in "True Love Lies", at The Cultch in Vancouver, produced by Touchstone Theatre Productions.

            As a theatre director, Andrew has been nominated for a Jesse Richardson award for his work on Michele Riml's, "Poster Boys". He also created the original production of the international hit, "Sexy Laundry".


            Recent productions include "A Christmas Carol" and "Sexy Laundry" for the Western Canada Theatre, in Kamloops, 2010-2011 theatre season.

            Andrew is currently preparing to direct two Canadian premieres of Michele Riml's new plays,
            "On The Edge", Jan.24 - Feb.26, for The Belfry Theatre in Victoria and "Henry & Alice: Into The Wild", Apr.19 - May 26, for the Arts Club in Vancouver.
